As the morning began, the sun broke through the horizon, casting a golden glow over Delhi.

For most people, it was just another ordinary morning, but for Tara and Veer, it marked a highly anticipated new beginning in their love lives. Today, the entire squad had vowed to wake up early and get dressed to impress.

But on the other side of town, reality was hitting a major roadblock.

Omgg, Tara, wake up! Abhi tak so rahi ho?" her mother yelled, throwing her bedroom door open. The clock hands sharply pointed to just how badly she had messed up.

"Taraaa, wake uppp! 7:30 ho gaye hai, 8:00 ka school hai... Kab ready hongi? Omggg, Taraa!

Buss five minutes... Akhri phera chal raha hai," Tara mumbled, a delusional smile stretching across her face as she drifted in her thoughts. "Abhi shadi hone hi wali hai...""Agar tu do minute mai nahi uthi, tho teri vidayi bhi karwa dungi!" her mother roared. "Tara, uth! 7:30 ho gaye!

Kyaaaaa?!" Tara shot up like a lightning bolt, her eyes expanding to the size of saucers.

7:30 ho gaye? Omggg, mai late ho gayi!" Ripping the blanket off, she climbed out of bed at terminal velocity and dashed into the bathroom. Her mother could only shake her head. "Kuch nahi ho sakta iska."

Within a record-breaking fifteen minutes, Tara burst out of the bathroom clad in her neatly pressed school uniform, grabbed her backpack, and bolted down the stairs.

Mummy, mai ja rahi hunn! Breakfast mai canteen mai kar lungi," Tara rushed out, trying to slide past.

Aree, hair tho bandh lo!" her mother called out, forcefully shoving a lunch box into her backpack.

Aur nahi, kha ke jao abhi ke abhi!""Mummy... Choro!" Tara whined, but under her mother's burning glare, she quickly sat down and started inhaling her breakfast.

Her eldest sister, Kiara, walked into the dining area, crossing her arms in disbelief. "Wahh, mummy! Mere time mai mujhe 6:00 baje utha deti thi, aur inko dekho, 7:50 tak ghar mai hi hai! 30 minutes school jaane mai lagenge."Tara offered a cheeky, crumbs-filled grin.

Heheee, youngest child core!"

Dropping her spoon, she suddenly erupted into a deafening scream.

"Papaaaaa! Paaaaaaappp! Ohhh, mere Pita Shiri! Mujhe jaldi school chor do... Sun rahe ho, Pita Shiri?!

Her mother threw her hands up. "Indeed, ghar ki choti beti! Kiara aur Krish ki awaz tak nahi nikalti tere papa ke aage, aur ek ye hai, apne papa ko yese bulati hai jese koi dost ho!"

Papaa—""Aa gaya, aa gaya! Chlo jaldi, aaj bike se chor deta hu," her father, Shiv, announced, rushing into the room with his keys."Nahi, car se choro!

Mujhe baal bhi banane hai, bike mai nahh ho payega. Aur mujhe paise bhi do!" Tara demanded, forwarding her palm without a shred of shame.

Kitne chahiye?" her father asked, pulling out his wallet and counting the notes."Aapke pass kitne hai?" Tara asked smoothly."100... 50... 30... 2000... 40..." her father listed, still counting.

Choro, sab de do!" Tara chirped. She aggressively grabbed the entire stack of money and shoved it right into her bag, leaving her mother and sister watching the entire scene in utter, speechles awe.

Iska sahi hai," both of them muttered in absolute unison."Chlo yarr, late ho jaungi!" Tara urged, pushing her father toward the door.

Han han, meri galti jo hai," her father joked, following her out.As they buckled into the car, Tara offered a classic, manipulation-tier expression.

Dekha? Meri kabhi koi galti hoti hi nahi hai! Aur pls, ma'am ko bol dena aaj aapki wajah se late hui hu, plssss! Varna first day par dandi sunna padega,

she pleaded, showing her ultimate puppy eyes."Acha, acha," her father chuckled, starting the engine. As the car cruised along the Delhi roads, her father periodically glanced at her through the rearview mirror.

Tara was a whirlwind of motion—sometimes braiding her hair, sometimes frantically applying moisturizer and lip balm.

Finally satisfied, she tossed her grooming kit onto the dashboard. "Ye sab mere room mai rakh dena, Pita Shiri, oky?

Oky, madam. Kabhi kabhi samajh nahi aata mai iska baap hu ya ye meri baap hai,her father deadpanned. Within minutes, the car screeched to a halt right in front of the school gate.

Tara stepped out, and her heart immediately plummeted. Standing dead center at the gate, specifically hunting down late-comers, was the most dangerous teacher in the entire school.

The teacher folded her arms, her cold gaze boring into Tara. "Tho aaj kya bahana hai late aane ka, Miss Shah?""Vo... vo ma'am... Good morning!" Tara squeaked, her confidence evaporating

The teacher simply nodded, her expression remaining stone-cold. "And?""Vo nahh ma'am... Aaj papa ki gadi ka petrol khatam ho gaya tha, tho isliye late ho gaye!

Mai tho 6:00 baje hi uth gayi thi," Tara lied smoothly, gesturing wildly. "Phir papa ne late karwa diya, vo mummy ke saath busy the nahh..."Her father's jaw dropped from inside the car.

"Kya?!"Tara shot a dangerously warning look at her father through the window, practically begging him to play along.Catching the hint, her father quickly rolled down his glass.

Mera matlab... Han han, vo meri wajah se late hui hai."Suddenly, a sweet, lenient teacher stepped up from behind, smiling warmly at the strict coordinator.

Aree ma'am, chorye nah. Vase bhi sirf 10 minutes late hua hai. Aaj first day hai, inki habit abhi tak gayi nahi hogi late uthne ki. Come, Tara, join your class line."Tara let out the biggest sigh of relief in her entire life.

Oky, ma'am!" she cheered, quickly walking past the gate and jogging toward the massive courtyard where the entire school stood lined up, ready for the morning prayers.
