Tara quickly dropped her school bag onto the dusty ground beneath the ancient neem tree and dashed over to join her class line. As she settled in at the very back, she caught Veer and Ira stealing glances over their shoulders at her.

As the morning began, the sun broke through the horizon, casting a golden glow over Delhi.

As Tara arrived at the market, her eyes scanned the crowd until they landed on a familiar figure. "Heyyy Iraaa!" Tara yelled, waving her hands frantically. "Yaha hu mai!""Han han, pata hai, dikh gayi tu,"

As the morning sun filtered through the dusty Delhi haze, the city erupted into its usual, chaotic rhythm. While early risers were already navigating the chaotic streets, our dear Tara ji remained fast asleep, dead to the world. In her defense, she firmly believed that 9:00 AM was entirely too early to function. Besides, if you stay up until 2:00 AM dissecting every thought of your real-life crush and brooding over fictional men, waking up at 7:00 AM is mathematically impossible. So, she slept on—not in some picturesque, aesthetically pleasing posture, but contorted like a fallen log, just as her friends fondly described her.Suddenly, her peace shattered. Her mother’s voice pierced right through her subconscious. "Ms. Tara Shah, wake up right now! Itna koi zinda laash bhi nahi sota jitna tum soti ho... Din mai soti ho, raat mai soti ho, shaam mai soti ho! Kitna soti ho?!" her mother yelled.

🌷 Dedication —

They never planned to fall in love. They were just friends—laughing together, fighting over silly things, sharing secrets, and growing up side by side. Love was never supposed to be part of the plan. Some tried to stay away from it. Some were afraid of what it could change. Some didn't even realize they were falling until it was already too late. Because love doesn't always arrive with a confession or a first sight. Sometimes, it hides in a stolen glance. In the little things someone remembers. In the person you look for in a crowded room without knowing why. In a friendship that slowly starts feeling different. Somewhere between school corridors and the years that followed, six hearts found themselves caught in something they never expected. They wanted to stay away from love… but what happens when love finds you anyway?
